More details from petition creator

This road regularly has traffic travelling far in excess of the speed limits (30mph and 40mph) and driving dangerously.

Regular speeding occurs on the 30mph section from the A23 to the 40mph speed limit sign near Colesmead Road even though some traffic calming measures are already in place. This includes one incident recently when a car mounted the kerb, wrote off 4 cars, damaged a further two, and caused structural damage to a house before ending upside down in a front garden. This happened at 7.45pm on Friday 8th February 2019. Current signage and road markings, including an electronic flashing speed sign near the top of Monson Road do little to reduce speeds.

We request the overall speed limits along Gatton Park Road be reviewed, as well as the potential for a speed camera and options for further traffic calming measures along the 30mph stretch at the A23 end.
